National Indigenous Peoples Day

Burlington’s National Indigenous Peoples Day event returns for its fourth year June 21, to a new location.
Program highlights and performers:
- Logan Staats (singer)
- Robin Rice (jingle dress/fancy shawl dancer)
- Lyndon George (two spirit-two heart traditional basket dancer)
- Jim Adams (storyteller)
- Shannon Thunderbird (singer/drummer) and Kate Dickson (singer/drummer)
- 4 Community Tables: Burlington Green, SAFE (Survivor Advocates for Empowerment), Halton Women’s Place, Burlington Library
- Vendors, including an Indigenous wood carver

Preference will be given to events that drive tourism, are hosted by a tourism partner, or provide experiences for residents and visitors. Community events must be within Burlington/Halton and are free to attend or hosted by a not-for-profit.
