Svāhā! – Nova Dance
Svāhā! by Nova Dance is a vibrant celebration of movement, music, and community. Created by acclaimed choreographer Nova Bhattacharya, the work brings together more than 20 dancers from diverse cultural traditions in a powerful collage of rhythm, colour, and sensation. Joyful, energetic, and deeply human, Svāhā! invites audiences to experience dance as a shared ritual—one that celebrates individuality while reminding us of the power of coming together.
Nova Dance is the Toronto-based contemporary dance company founded by choreographer Nova Bhattacharya, known for creating vibrant works that blend global dance traditions with contemporary movement to celebrate cultural diversity and human connection.
In advance of the performance, Nova Dance will engage local dancers and dance enthusiasts through community outreach activities that celebrate Burlington’s vibrant dance community and invite participants to be part of the energy and spirit of the presentation.
