Summer in Halton is a celebration of love, identity, and community. Discover everything from guided hikes and drag galas to raptor encounters and beach bonfires. Burlington and the surrounding region are bursting with Pride this June and July. Whether you’re part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or a proud ally, there’s a place for you at these incredible events. 

Sunday, June 1 — Pride Month Kickoff 

Birds of ALL Feathers – Mountsberg Conservation Area 

Mountsberg Conservation Area

Gate fee required 

Start Pride Month with a feathery twist at Mountsberg’s Raptor Centre! Meet resident birds, explore interactive displays, enjoy cookies, and take colourful photo ops with friends. Optional experiences like the Talons & Tailfeathers or a Raptor Encounter are available with advance booking.

Lighting of the Brant Street Pier for Pride Month 

Brant Street Pier, Burlington 

As night falls, Burlington’s waterfront will come alive with the colours of the rainbow. The iconic Brant Street Pier will be lit in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple to mark the beginning of Pride Month.

City of Burlington Pride Flag Raising 

City Hall, 426 Brant Street, Burlington

Free Event 

Join City staff, community members, and local leaders for Burlington’s official Pride Flag Raising ceremony. A simple but powerful show of visibility and support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. 

Saturday, June 7 & Sunday, June 8 — Kelso Pride in Nature Weekend 

Whatever Floats Your Boat 

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM 
Gate fee + $10+HST per person 

Rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard and enjoy peaceful time on the water, with proceeds going to support equity initiatives. 

Climb As You Are 

12:00 PM – 2:00 PM 
Gate fee + $10+HST per person 

Explore Kelso’s climbing tower and aerial ropes in this guided Pride-themed climbing session. 

Slay Your Way Guided Hike 

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM 
Gate fee + $5+HST per person 

Celebrate Pride while learning about local ecosystems on a guided hike through Kelso’s escarpment trails. 

All Kelso events take place at Kelso Conservation Area. Park reservation required.

RBG After Dark: Summer Pride Party (19+) 

Rock Garden, Royal Botanical Gardens, 1185 York Blvd 
6:30 PM – 10:30 PM 
Ticketed Event 

Get ready to dance under the stars at this high-energy celebration of love and joy at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Expect dazzling disco beats, fabulous eats, and a welcoming atmosphere at one of Burlington’s most beautiful venues.

I’m Coming Out to a BBQ & Bonfire – Area 8 

Area 8 Conservation Area 
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Food served until 7:30 PM) 
Gate fee + $15+HST per person 

Enjoy a night of music, games, bonfires, and BBQ by the lake. This relaxed event includes a full meal, fun activities like giant lawn games, and beach bonfires—perfect for connecting and celebrating.

Pride Gala & Garden Soirée (19+) – Drag Academy at AGB 

Art Gallery of Burlington Courtyard

Prepare to be dazzled at this elegant outdoor drag event featuring showstopping performances by Sandy Joint, Dulce, Lady Kero, Lolita Banana, and co-hosts Georgina Hudson and Dahlia Doll. A must-see celebration of drag artistry and self-expression.

PRISM Halton Pride Parade – Milton
