Canada Day Celebration

Celebrate Canada Day with the City of Burlington at a picturesque waterfront location, Spencer Smith Park on July 1, 2025.

What’s happening?

8:30 a.m. – Kick off the day with the VRPRO Canada Day 5K Run.
Pre-registration required.

Noon – Free Yoga in the Park at the Compass near the West Lawn

Noon – 10 p.m. – Food & Marketplace vendors

Noon – 4 p.m. – Kids Zone

Sing along with The Whoopsie Daisies and Noise Pollution Rock Band and catch the fun antics of Juggler Ben!

Special appearance by the Burlington Teen Tour Band – Drum Line at 2:20 p.m. as Burlington participates in the nationwide Canada Day drumming event. Bring your “beats” and join in on these six minutes of simultaneous drumming with participating cities across six time zones!

4:00 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies led by the Burlington Teen Tour Band

6:30 p.m. – Lucky Honey

8:00 p.m. – My Son the Hurricane

9:40 p.m.  (approx.)– Drone Show

10:00 p.m. (approx.) – Fireworks Finale

Have an upcoming event in Burlington, Ontario that you would like to promote? Submit it for free and we will add your event to our calendar. Events include local concerts, festivals, theatre, live music, sporting events, outdoor attractions, tours, and culinary events.

Preference will be given to events that drive tourism, are hosted by a tourism partner, or provide experiences for residents and visitors. Community events must be within Burlington/Halton and are free to attend or hosted by a not-for-profit.
