Celebrate Canada’s birthday along Burlington’s beautiful waterfront with one of the city’s biggest annual celebrations. Start your Canada Day with one of Burlington’s favourite annual traditions. The Canada Day Race by VR Pro offers distances for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, all beginning along Burlington’s scenic waterfront before the citywide celebrations begin. 

3. Firefly Night: Live Music on the Farm

Pack a blanket, bring your favourite snacks, and settle in for a movie under the stars. Movies by the Lake transforms Spencer Smith Park into an outdoor cinema each Tuesday evening, making it one of Burlington’s favourite summer traditions for families and friends. 

5. Concerts in the Garden: Lido Pimienta with Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra

Get ready, Burlington! On July 9, the city will host Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™, a first-of-its-kind, coast-to-coast-to-coast celebration bringing the energy, pride, and passion of the world’s biggest sporting event to communities across the country. This free, family-friendly fan experience will feature live match viewings, football-themed activations, cultural programming, music, food, and moments of national pride. As part of a 38-stop journey connecting communities nationwide, Canada Celebrates invites residents and visitors to come together, celebrate the beautiful game, and be part of this historic moment as Canada takes the global stage. 

Our Visitor Centre will also be open 9AM-9PM on July 9. Feel free to stop by and pick up one of our Official Burlington Visitor Guides at 414 Locust Street. 

7. Taste of Philippines

8. RBG After Dark: Enchanted at Twilight (19+)
